Midland Exteriors KSU Football Take It To The House Challenge Winner of $10,000
K-State football fan Michele Hawk of Salina had plenty to be excited about following the Wildcats’ victory against the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday, Nov. 30. Following the opening kickoff, she became the first-ever winner in the “Take it to the House” promotion when Joshua Youngblood returned the opening kickoff 93 yards.
Sponsored by K-State Athletics corporate partner Midland Exteriors, the “Take it to the House” campaign launched during the 2018 season, but Hawk is the first person to date to win $10,000 for a Wildcat touchdown scored on the opening kickoff.
Family-owned Midland Exteriors has been serving communities through its remodeling business through 2002. Owners Jamie and Danielle Musa have been committed to serving K-State Athletics the last three years. “It’s been our pleasure to back K-State, and we were wondering when one lucky fan might be rewarded with the $10,000 ‘Take it to the House’ cash,” said Jamie Musa.
The promotion calls for one fan to be selected to win tickets, a VIP gameday experience and the opportunity to win the cash prize. K-State Sports Properties, the Wildcats’ longtime multimedia rightsholder, manages the corporate partner program on behalf of the university and collaborated with Midland Exteriors for the activation.
“Being a lifelong K-State fan, having the opportunity to attend the game, be on the field for pregame and have a chance to win $10,000 was incredible,” said Hawk. “To watch Youngblood run that in for a touchdown knowing what I would receive was a euphoric feeling! I am grateful for the win at such an amazing time of year and will bleed purple forever!”
