TruCedar coats with G60 zinc. It forms a tough layer that prevents moisture and oxygen from getting to the steel, then bonds to make the material even stronger. If for some reason the coating is scratched off, well that’s a problem. Good thing galvanized steel siding and coatings are designed to take a beating.
